What is CocktailGuessr?
CocktailGuessr is a free daily cocktail guessing game. A new mystery cocktail is published every day at midnight UTC — the same puzzle for everyone worldwide. Study the photo, make your best guess, and share your score!
How to Play
- A cocktail photo is shown. Study the image closely.
- Type a cocktail name in the search box. An autocomplete list helps you find it.

Daily Cocktail Challenge
Every day at midnight UTC, a brand-new cocktail puzzle goes live — the same challenge for every player around the world. Come back each day to keep your streak alive, and if you ever miss a puzzle, the built-in history calendar lets you go back and play any past challenge at any time.
The Hint System
Each wrong guess unlocks a new hint. The hints progress from most visual to most specific — first the glass type, then the main ingredient, then the total number of ingredients, and finally the IBA category. Used wisely, the hint system lets you methodically narrow down the answer even when the photo alone isn't enough.
About the Cocktails
CocktailGuessr draws from a library of over 400 classic and contemporary cocktails from around the world. Once the game ends, win or lose, you get to see the full ingredient list and a fun fact about that cocktail's history or origin.
Free Daily Cocktail Game
No account, no download, no paywall. One puzzle per day — the perfect cocktail quiz for a coffee break. If you enjoy free cocktail trivia and want to test your bar knowledge, this is your daily ritual.
Why CocktailGuessr?
Cocktail knowledge is surprisingly visual — a Negroni looks nothing like a Mojito, and a Sidecar is unmistakable once you know it. CocktailGuessr turns that into a daily test. You're not guessing randomly: the photo, the glass shape, the garnish, the colour — all of it is a clue. Over time you'll start recognising cocktails on sight. That's the whole point.
What cocktails are in the game?
The puzzle pool covers IBA-recognised cocktails — the international standard list used by bartenders worldwide. Classics like the Old Fashioned, Mojito, and Cosmopolitan sit alongside lesser-known drinks you might not have ordered yet. Every cocktail has a photo, an IBA category, a glass type, and a known ingredient list. All of that becomes hint information after a wrong guess.
CocktailGuessr vs other daily games
Wordle tests vocabulary. DailyGuessr tests geography. CocktailGuessr tests something different — visual pattern recognition combined with drinks knowledge. There's no word to unscramble and no map to click. You're reading a photo like a bartender reads an order. It sits in the same “one puzzle a day” rhythm as Wordle but the skill it builds is genuinely different.
